Assurance

Do you have that precious assurance of eternal life? Jesus told Nicodemus that in addition to his physical birth, he also needed to be born into the kingdom of God. He told him that God had sent Him into the world so that we would believe on Him and have eternal life. All of us on this earth commit sins and no one is perfect. Only Jesus Christ was perfect, because He is God. Jesus Christ died for you on the cross to pay the price for your sins. When I think about how much God loved us to send His only begotten Son, not only to die, but to greatly suffer in our place, I am moved beyond words. The Lord said, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." John 15:13. Jesus knew the price He was to pay, but He went willingly. The following is a sample prayer to ask the Lord for His forgiveness and salvation:

Dear God,

I realize that I am a sinner and I need to be forgiven. Please come into my heart and life and forgive me of my sin and the wrong things that I have done in my life. I want to be born again and become Your child. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear friend, if you have prayed that prayer, did you know the angels in heaven in rejoice over one sinner who repents? We rejoice with you and you will now experience life as you never knew it. You now have the assurance that if you were to die now, you would go directly to heaven. It's important to find a good church where you can grow as a Christian.
