Frank Bruce Hawley

  General Notes:

I found a 1900 census document Harlem Township MT, Chouteau, with Frank and James Hawley together. Frank was listed as only 5 years old and James as 14. The months and year of birth match, and the geographic area match, I am almost certain that this is the same Hawley family. They were listed as boarders. No mother or father listed with them. They said father was born in California. They are both listed as white. Mother born in Montana. They were both born in Montana. James has attended school and can read and write. They are white and sex male. They are living with James and Mary Dorrity. Mary Dorrity was half sister to Nellie Buckshot and their aunt. She must have raised them after their mother died. James and Mary did raise them I found out; Mary was their aunt.

Frank married Mrs. Alvina aka Vina Florence Mitchell Hawley, daughter of Daniel E. Ma-To-Na-Pa "Bear Paw" Mitchell and Louisa or Lula Wa ya wa wi yan Garfield, on 15 Oct 1917 in st Paul's Mission Blaine. (Mrs. Alvina aka Vina Florence Mitchell Hawley was born in 1897 in Montana and died on 15 Apr 1954 in Spokane city, Washington.). The cause of her death was Lung or asthma related.
