Wayne “Dusty” Williams passed away at his home Aug. 1, 2011 in Schurz, Nev. following a lengthy illness. He was born to Louie and Helen Miller Williams on May 24, 1957 in Schurz. He retired after 17 years from Kennametal, Fallon, Nev. He continued to operate the family ranch and farm in Schurz.
He is survived by his sisters; Claudea Nez, Sharon Williams, Loni Williams and Gloria Williams of Schurz and Betty Flint of Gardnerville, Nev.; brothers, Lyle Williams and Woody Smokey of Schurz and Fritz Smokey of Gardnerville; uncle, Everett “Chucko” Williams of Carson City, Nev. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are scheduled for Aug. 13, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Schurz Tribal Gym, Schurz, Nev. Memorial donations, in his name, can be made to Reno Cancer Foundation, 1155 Mill St., Reno, NV 89502 Attn.: Lois.
