Clara Williams

   Cause of her death was burned to death.

Freda said they had an outdoor furnace and the girl climbed in and they shut it and did not know she was in there and she died by burn or suffication.

Burns are fatal to child of four on schurz ranch. Schurz, NV March 23, 1927. Clara Williams, four year old daughter of Murphy Williams, Indian rancher, was so severly burned Monday that she died five o-clock that evening. THe child strayed away from home from the adjoining ranch across the road where a rancher was burning weeds. it is believed she walked into the embers and her dress caught fire. Screams of the child as she ran from the place attracted Howard sides, a rancher plowing in a field close by and he ran to her assistance and beat out the flames with his hands, but she was so badly burned the results were fatal.
