William Alex Sansaver
Bill has gone to be with his family in Heaven. His journey on earth ended Sunday, July 17, 2005, at home on Skookum Ranch surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Jan. 7, 1929, in Wolf Point, MT, the son of William Saul Sansaver and Audrey L. (Knorr) Sansaver. He was raised in Wolf Point, Poplar and Rocky Boy. He moved to Wenatchee, WA., when he was 13 years old, coming back his senior year and graduating from Wolf Point High School.
He was united in marriage to Wilma R. Morley, Feb. 9, 1949, his loving wife of 56 years.
Our Dad was a Mason, farmer, undersheriff and federal representative for the U.S Department of Labor.
In Wolf Point, he was actively involved in the community as a Boy Scout leader, Sunday school teacher, Deacon and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church. He coached Babe Ruth baseball and continued to work with the youth in football after he moved our family to Washington.
Returning home to Wolf Point 15 years ago, he spgnt his retired years working with the baseball programs of Babe Ruth and American Legion. Dad spent many hours perfecting the fields, lighting and announcing the games he loved so much. He also loved painting and working in his yard.
His sense of humor and abundant love for mankind and his family will never be forgotten. Many who met him became his extended family calling him Chief, Dad or Grandpa. He was a good'friend, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma; his 10 children, Bill Jr. (Patty), Kyle Vinyard (Darrell), Ross (Keri), Noel (Doreen), Jeff
(Barb), Debbie Vinyard (Jerry), Brian (Janie), Mark (Kelli), Alexis Gar-see (John), and Kelly; 32 grand-children; 14 greatgrandchildren; his sister, Norma Allen of Port Orchard, WA; and Dad's adopted family, Dr. Mark Zilkoski, Myrle and kids.
Special thanks to Mark for the incredible loving care he gave our father. Thank you to the wonderful nurses at the N.E. Montana Health Services. Thank you to our loving cousins and friends for your prayers and delicious food. Thank you especially to Doreen for her endless attention to Dad's special diet and her care as a nurse. Also, Tomina and Scott Kinzie for their special care and to granddaughter Kami for her loving attentiveness to Grandpa's needs. We would also like to thank Dad's Masonic Brothers for their participation in his service.
Our Dad was preceded in death by his father, William; his mother, Audrey; his sisters, Phoebe Stephens and Louise Blair. His great-grandson Logan John Gradin, 2 years and seven months, picked his great papa up in his Buzz Light Year Star Ship to cruise the Galaxy. To infinity and beyond...
Services will be held Friday, July 22, at 1 p.m. at the Wolf Point High School auditorium. Internment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery. A reception will follow at Wolf Point High School cafeteria. V
Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
