Beverly Leith lived after 1965 at Portland, Oregon, USA.1 She died on January 5, 2004 at Billings, Yellowstone Co., Montana, USA, at age 67; BILLINGS, Mont. - Beverly "Sue" Brewer passed peacefully from this life with her family by her side on January 5, 2004, at her home in Billings, MT. A memorial service was held at Cremation or Funeral Gallery, Billings, MT, on Wednesday, January 7, 2004. Sue was born on January 6, 1936, to Roy J. Leith and Majel Cuney at the old Cheyenne Agency, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her first husband, Emmitt "Bud" Lamb, three of her infant children who died at birth and her grandson Michael who died at birth. Sue is survived by her husband Delbert Brewer of Billings, MT, her sisters Iyla Mae Rodriguez of San Bruno, CA, and Ursula Mitchell-Webb of Oakland, CA, her brother Roy "Jasper" Leith and his wife Jo Anne of Nespelem, WA, her sons Richard Lamb-Brewer of Billings, MT, Craig Lamb-Brewer of Portland, OR, Michael Brewer and his wife Angela of Fountain Hills, AZ, and her daughter Lynnell Gannon and her husband Peter and her grandchildren Peter and Jessica of Billings, MT, and her adopted daughter Angela Shepherd and husband Paul and children Austin, Dakota and Jacob of Billings, MT. Sue and Delbert raised their family near Portland, Oregon, after leaving South Dakota in the mid 1960's. There she became an active member of the Jehovah's Witnesses living a life of service as a witness to Jehovah. She spent several years working as a secretary for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. After her family had grown she left the Portland, Oregon, area and relocated to Washington D.C., Colorado, Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska with her husband, who was working for the U.S. Government. She eventually settled in Billings, MT, so she could be close to her grandchildren. She was extremely close to her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with them and having them around her as often as she could. There was an incredible bond made as she was a major part of their lives from the time they were born.
Throughout her life Sue helped many people who found themselves in need. There was rarely a time when her home was not occupied by someone to whom she and her husband were providing a helping hand. She and her husband helped raise several children other than their own and adopted one. Sue loved to travel. She made trips to places like Hawaii, Mexico, Europe, the Caribbean and many places across the United States. She traveled extensively in the last five years with her husband, who works for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. More than anything she liked to laugh. A more sincere and robust laugh could not be heard. Sue found joy in living and in most everything she did. It is this sense of joy and getting the most out of life that she leaves with all of us. Simply to remember her laugh will bring a smile to all of us knew her.1
