MADISONVILLE TX — Services for Ellen Bernice Washburn, 90, of Madisonville are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Madisonville Funeral Home.

The Rev. David Washburn will officiate. Burial will be in Allphin Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Washburn died Tuesday in a nursing home in Madisonville.

She was born in Madison County TX and lived in Madisonville TX for 20 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Madisonville.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie O. Mosley.

Survivors include her husband, Walter A. Washburn of Madisonville; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Wendell O. and Anita Mosley of Houston, Joe M. and Judy Mosley of The Woodlands, Billy Earl Mosley of Houston and John Wayne Mosley of Houston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nelda R. and Gerald Murphy of Madisonville and Mary and C.P. White of Natchitoches, La.; two step-sons and one step-daughter-in-law, David and Carol Washburn of Cuero, Texas, and Jimmie C. Washburn of New Orleans; two brothers, Jessie Catoe of Montgomery, Texas, and Gene Catoe of New Baden, Texas; three sisters, Emma Woods of Houston, Ruby Catoe of Houston and Ethel Goforth of Cleveland, Texas; 23 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ellen married Willie Oran Mosley, son of John Henry Mosley and Mary Jane Harris Mosley, on 27 Oct 1927 in Madison County, TX. (Willie Oran Mosley was born 13 or 14 Jul 1909 in North Zulch, Madison, TX, died on 3 Jan 1961 in Houston, Harris TX and was buried on 5 Jan 1961 in Houston, Harris TX.). The cause of his death was Carcinoma of the esophagus.
