According to a 1905 census, Brooklyn, Kings, New York, they lived as a family. Arthur was listed as ten years old with siblings: James & Grace. John worked was born in the US and was 46 at the time. He was a rubber salesman. They lived in a place called "Emerson Place". Arthur was the youngest. Grace and Arthur attended school. James worked as a laborer.

Found them in a 1900 census, good - has month born July 1859. Interesting, father born in New York, Mother born in Ireland. So he's 1/2 Irish. He's also a salesman.

John married Mary Ann McEvoy Robinson in 1880. (Mary Ann McEvoy Robinson was born in Apr 1860 in New York, United States.)
