Found an obituary in the Hawthorne News dated May 24, 1933:

Louis Williams, fifty year old Paiute Indian, was killed when he was struck by an automobile on the Lakeview grade late Thursday afternoon. The car was driven by A.M. MacKenzie of Reno. A coroners jury Friday returned a verdict that the accident was unavoidable and freed MacKenzie of any blame. Williams was born in Bodie in 1884, the son of Lorne and Annie Williams. Graduated from Stuart Indian school in 1908. He enlisted in the 63rd Infantry May 8, 1918 at the Presidio, re-enlisted April 24, 1919 in the 8th infantry in which outfit he served until his final discharge in 1928. He is survived by his widow and brother in Shurz. Funeral services were conducted by Mineral County Post 19, American Legion on Sunday. He was buried by intimate friends. the American flag which draped his casket was presented to his bother, Murphy Williams. Pallbearers were Ray Powell, Mr. Whitefeather, E.E. Brown, Roy Higgens, Thomas Benjamin and John Frank.
