Lawrence, of Rappahannock Co., Va., bap., June 23, 1635, at Tring, Herst Co., England; d. 1677, in Virginia; was a student at Oxford, 1622; came to the Colony in 1666 or 67; his earliest grant is dated Sept. 27, 1667; made will Sept. 27, 1675; same was probated Jan. 6, 1677; m. (first) in England, Jan. 26, 1660, Mary Jones, dau. of Edmund Jones, of Liuton; (second) in Virginia, 1667 or 8, Joyce Fleming, dau. of Capt. Alexander Fleming
