Robert J. Johnston
Robert J. Johnston died on Friday, June 7, 2002 after a long battle with cancer. Born on June 23, 1925 in Wolf Point to Harry and Phoebe Chase Johnston. Bob was an enrolled member of the Assinibo-ine Tribe and attended Wolf Point High School and Montana State University.
For over 25 years he worked in Grinnell Company in Pocatello, Idaho; was a Branch Manager for ITT-Grinnell Company in Cincinnati, Ohio; and was owner and manager of Warner Supply Company in Muncie, Indiana. In 1991, Bob retired and moved with his wife Louise to Harlingen, Texas. In 1971, they moved to California. Bob was an avid golfer, sportsman and loved to travel.
Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years; daughter Judith Johnston-Weston of Glendora, California; brother Harry Johnston and sister Joann Stensland of Wolf Point; and sister Jeanine Jensen of Apache Junction, Arizona.
Memorial Services will be held at a future date in Wolf Point. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Robert J. Johnston Indian Children Golf Scholarship Fund or the American Cancer Society. Fund information may be obtained by sending an E-m a i 1 to
